What a day for Tiger Woods! He had eight birdies going into the 18th hole and rimmed the ninth birdie out, leaving him with eight. What a great day for him moving him from 23rd to 1st with an overall score of six under par. What an amazing day for him and great excitement for the championship. Daly slipped from 2nd to 9th with his overall score being par. For others today was totally opposite from Woods' day, today was CUT day. The cut was made at five over par and among those who got cut were Furyk, Singh, and Cabrera. Phil Mickelson edge in at two over par. Now the field gets tougher and much more competitive.

Quote of the day
"The great trouble with baseball today is that most of the players are in the game for the money and that's it, not for the love of it, the excitement of it, the thrill of it."
